From The Hand of Fr. Aaron Ferris…April 8, 2018

The celebrations of Holy Week and Easter Week are the high point of our Church year. The celebrations are beautiful, but that beauty comes with a lot of hard work and dedication. I know the choirs and musicians have been practicing for quite a while. Decorating the church requires a lot to be put up, taken down, and put back up again. Thank you to everyone who has helped make these celebrations so wonderful.

I also want to give a special thanks to those who have helped with RCIA this past year. We had two people (Andrew Shipp and Sarah Zigmont) come into the Church this year at the Easter Vigil. As a side note, this is one of my favorite parts of the job. The RCIA process lasts for several months, and the catechists and sponsors who have been dedicated over those months has been vital to the process. I am very grateful for their hard work and dedication to preparing and welcoming our new brother and sister in the faith.

I hope the Easter was a time of great rejoicing for you. Remember, the Easter Season lasts for fifty days, and there are still some major celebrations to come. Therefore, let us continue to celebrate and rejoice in the wonder of our Lord’s Resurrection and the new life that He has purchased for us.
