Fourth Sunday of Easter – May 12, 2019

Another year of religious education is wrapping up. Thank you to all the teachers, aides, and all the volunteers who make this possible for the children in our parishes. Only so much can be done in a once a week session for half the year, but I greatly appreciate all that you do. Your dedication has been a great help to the formation of disciples in Christ.

Most formation in the faith happens at home, but participation in the opportunities offered by the parish are vital. They give the faith a larger context than just a private matter at home. We live a faith that encompasses over a billion members across the globe. There are untold more among the saints in heaven and the souls in purgatory. It is vital that our faith life be connected to this larger reality.

Thank you for your willingness to help the children of our parish grow into faithful disciples. Thank you for your assistance to parents who are the primary teachers of their children in the ways of faith. Many hands make light work. May you be blessed in your service, and may you grow in your own faith and love of the Lord as you hand it on to others.
